Prof. Bauer is Director and Executive Chair, Physician-in-Chief of the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus in Dresden. Previously he was a visiting Professor of Psychiatry at UCLA Neuropsychiatric Research Institute & Hospital, USA and Chairman of the Task Force on the Biological Treatment of Unipolar Depressive Disorders, World Federation of Societies of Biological Psychiatry. Prof. Bauer is an expert in unipolar and bipolar depression.
