Prof. Ramaekers has extensively published on the impact of psychedelic substances on neuronal networks, cognitive function, mood, mindfulness, and creativity, and on their therapeutic implications. Further interests include behavioral toxicology of drugs where he combines methods from psychopharmacology, forensic toxicology and cognitive neuroscience to determine drug-induced changes in human performance. His work bears relevance for drug development and legal settings when evaluating the impact of drug exposure on human function.
